The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG is conducted by the NTA. NEET (UG) is applicable for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.
The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing All India Rank to the Directorate General Health Services, Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for supplying the result to state/other Counselling Authorities.

NTA இன் பொறுப்பு, நுழைவுத் தேர்வை நடத்துதல், முடிவுகளை அறிவிப்பது மற்றும் 15% அகில இந்திய ஒதுக்கீட்டு இடங்களுக்கான கவுன்சிலிங் நடத்துவதற்கும், முடிவுகளை வழங்குவதற்கும் இந்திய அரசின் பொது சுகாதார சேவைகள் இயக்குநரகத்திற்கு அகில இந்திய தரவரிசை வழங்குவதற்கு மட்டுமே.
