Tricks of TQM

There are some tricks to achieve Total Quality Mangement

  1. Listen, observe, ask and act.
  2. Better the customers are treated, better they respond.
  3. DAIS (Do as I say) should be replaced by DAID (Do as I do).
  4. Everyone should know how much influence one you have.
    • Full control – then you can authorise an action – Easy level
    • Some control – needs some negotiation to be accepted – some what difficult
    • Nil control – little chance to control; refer to higher level – difficult
  5. Do things you can, not things you cannot do.
  6. There are some barriers to scale
    • People – Procedures
    • Politics – Policies
    • Pressure – Protection
    • Performance – Price
    • Patience – Priorities
    • Persistence – Perception
