Let us learn locally and fly globally

I was thrilled with the rendering of this wonderful Carnatic music by the brilliant students lead by their eminent Master. Moreover, the two western guys who are enjoying this great Indian music in this video prompted me to post this article.

We should learn what our forefathers have already mastered over the art and skillset first in our mother tongue. Let us learn what we can learn easily. Let us give more importance to our culture in the early schooling. That is the real learning for our life. Teach the children what they love and what they can understand easily. To bring out the good skillset is the best mode of education. Let the children not upload in their head the info and super info about many complicated things. We talk about coding and programming in schools, but we ignore the code of conduct of our life and culture. The young ones should be trained in the skill set required by the immediate society. I saw an advertisement recently called for an engineer in the pay scale of Rs. 12,000 p.m. and a parotta master for Rs. 30,000 p.m. Dear parents, pay an attention of the essential skillsets required locally and do not get disappointed with pompous western education and waste the lifetime of your wards in dreaming about overseas employment. Learn locally and fly globally. Let our children learn more skills in addition to regular education!

Is this our original culture? Save our kids!!

Watch the full video along with those western guys. Thanks to Shreya’s dad for forwarding this video in WhatsApp.
