- Daily Check
- Inspect your feet every morning and evening for cuts, redness, swelling, or blisters.
- Wash & Dry
- Wash your feet daily with mild soap and lukewarm water.
- Dry thoroughly, especially between toes.
- Moisturize
- Apply moisturizer or coconut oil to prevent dryness.
- Do not apply cream between toes (risk of fungal infection).
- Proper Footwear
- Always wear soft, well-fitting shoes.
- Avoid slippers or tight shoes.
- Socks Rule
- Use clean cotton socks every day.
- Wash and dry them properly before reuse.
- Avoid Injuries
- Protect your feet from cuts or burns.
- Never walk barefoot (even inside the house).
- Nail Care
- Cut nails straight across, not too deep.
- Avoid sharp edges that can cause ingrown nails.
- No Harsh Remedies
- Never use blades, corn removers, or chemical acids on foot problems.
- Always consult a doctor instead.
- Blood Sugar Control
- Maintain proper blood sugar levels.
- Follow prescribed medicines, diet, and exercise.
- Doctor Visit
- For any wound, blister, or non-healing ulcer, see a doctor immediately.
- Early treatment prevents serious complications.
